Nowadays, work from home is really the best option for us Moms or Parents who wants to spend quality time with their kids and at the same time wants to work while staying in the comfort of their own home. So, what is the definition of Work from Home? Work from home or Home-based job is a concept where the employees can do their job from home. It is also a working style that allows professionals to work outside of a traditional office environment. Work from home also known as a Virtual Assistant or VA which provides professional administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients remotely from a home office and usually works for other small businesses.
Work from home was entirely new for me, I keep on researching it and thinking if this career will suites me best. I also asked VA friends about it and how they adjust from office work, to work from home set up. So far they enjoy it because of more time with family and they have time freedom. I think the biggest advantage of working from home is that you save a lot of time commuting back and forth to work. Without a time clock, you can start and stop your day as you please. As long as you work your required hours and get your job done, there is no harm in shifting your schedule a bit. You are in control of your working environment.
In a normal office set up, you are expected to dress accordingly. Usually, your office sets standards and you are required to wear formal clothes. Work from home might mean sitting at home in your house dress, on the rug or in your pajamas all day long. It is a huge advantage because it makes you comfortable and more relaxed. Work from home puts you in a very convenient position that allows you to fit some other duties, such as picking up kids from school or cooking meals for them.
Work from home also means you’ll have to learn to rely on self-motivation, self-discipline, focus, and concentration. There are no toxic officemates to deal with and you don’t have to mix your private life with it. No one sees you, and no one judges you for your personality. You are working independently and google might be your best friend if you want answers to your questions.
Simple as that but still at the end of the day, it's up to you whether this job will suites you. Some people are happier working in an office and some people are happier working from home. Remember not all the time that money matters still what keeps you happy and contented with your private life and career life will matter most.
